the poem interpolates the subject-object of its desire, i address you, we hold or are held together, our need, my need, struggles to glimpse its fullest depths, in struggle, as in, all the multiform intimacies needed to push through what would deny their possiblity, pull us (all) out of this fug, let's play some music, let's get shit done, dissolve entirely, i don't know, it's not that easy sure, we're working on it
Biography:
joey frances is a poet, musician, poetry organiser & teacher based in Manchester. He co-organises the reading series Peter Barlow's Cigarette, and a bi-weekly poetry reading group. All his previous poems can be read at pxxtry.com.
